Should you have the flu vaccination?
Flu is responsible for many thousands of deaths in the UK each year. It changes every year so you won’t be protected this year even if you had the vaccination last year.
People who are at highest risk of serious complications are offered a free flu vaccination on the NHS. Even if you’re not in one of these groups, flu can make you feel extremely unwell for at least a week. You may be able to be able to protect yourself with a private (paid for) vaccine through your pharmacist.

“If you’re in a high-risk group or you just want to avoid a nasty and potentially deadly illness, getting vaccinated can prevent serious complications and save lives. Speak to your pharmacist about receiving the vaccine this flu season.”
